Live in the present to attract more happiness

"There is no way to happiness,

happiness is the way." - Lord Buddha

In our quest for happiness, we often perceive it as an elusive destination, something to be attained or achieved after fulfilling certain conditions or goals. We live our life waiting for the happiness and at the cost of several damages that takes place in search of happiness.

Wen we consider this through the lens of everyday life, we seek happiness through achievement ,we believe that happiness comes after achieving success, securing a job, buying a new house, or reaching a certain level of financial stability. While these milestones bring joy, the happiness derived from them is often fleeting. We tend to set new goals immediately, believing they will bring lasting happiness, perpetuating an endless cycle of striving for more.

We expect happiness in everyday life but we seek happiness through achievement which is not an everyday affair. One must know that there are plenty of means apart from achieving a goal to experience happiness. "Why to wait for happiness when it is already within you with you and outside in many forms ?"

While the pursuit of happiness is a noble endeavor, it often comes at the cost of overlooking the present moment. We get caught up in striving for future happiness, unknowingly missing out on the beauty and richness of the present.

The human mind tends to fixate on future goals, believing that achieving those objectives will bring happiness. This pattern leads to delaying happiness for some future date, constantly postponing its attainment for the next milestone.

In this process, the present moment gets neglected. Moments of joy, contentment, and beauty surrounding us every day are overshadowed by the desire for what lies ahead. We fail to appreciate the simplicity and grace of the present. The pursuit of happiness often breeds restlessness. We become perpetually dissatisfied, continuously chasing after something outside of ourselves, believing it will provide the happiness we seek.

In this rush towards an imagined future happiness, we miss the treasures that life presents to us in the here and now. A serene sunset, a heartfelt conversation, a shared laughter with friends – these simple yet precious moments pass by unnoticed.

If we shift our perspective and focus on finding happiness in the present moment, regardless of external circumstances, the paradigm changes. For instance, consider the happiness a father experiences while playing with his child after a long day's work, or the joy a musician feels while creating music, irrespective of fame or fortune. When we learn to live mindfully, we discover that happiness isn't just a destination but a journey. By being fully present, we can experience happiness in the smallest of things, relishing the beauty of life that surrounds us.By practicing mindfulness and fostering awareness, we can bring our focus back to the present. Mindfulness helps us appreciate life's little moments, allowing us to savor the richness and depth of each experience.

The key lies in cultivating gratitude and contentment with what we have, appreciating life's simple pleasures – the laughter of loved ones, the warmth of a sunrise, or the serenity of a quiet moment. Happiness, then, becomes a state of being rather than a destination to be reached.

Life is replete with ups and downs, and happiness isn't immune to these fluctuations. The true test lies in how we navigate through challenges. Instead of waiting for a trouble-free life to find happiness, we learn to face difficulties with resilience, finding moments of joy amidst adversity.

Recognizing that the pursuit of happiness often leads us away from the present moment is crucial. By acknowledging this tendency, we can consciously shift our focus back to the here and now. Embracing mindfulness allows us to rediscover the joys and wonders of life, making every moment a source of happiness in itself. Let's embrace the present, for within it lies the true essence of happiness.

"There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way" signifies a shift in perspective. It encourages us to embrace the journey of life, finding joy in the present moment, in every step we take. By understanding that happiness is not confined to achievements or specific circumstances, but rather a state of mind, we empower ourselves to live a more fulfilling and contented life.
